Premier AC 91W Reaches Finals in Washington Fall Classic....But Too Much Bethesda for One Weekend Premier AC 91W Defeats Bethesda Roadrunners 2-0 to Advance to Finals
Premier AC 91W played 4 solid matches this weekend at the beautiful OBGC soccer Complex. We shook off the rust in one half and started to look like we were ready for the season. After defeating HOTA 91 (4-1) and Jersey Crew (3-1), the 91's faced the national power house Bethesda Roadrunners. For many things in life, the first time is a wonderful experience. For the 91W, defeating the Roadrunners (2-0) in a beautifully played match, was nothing less than a wonderful experience for the boys. Previous games have been a combination of closely contested and hard fought matches with a couple of not so close matches mixed in....all in the Roadrunners favor. The game was hilighted by great goalkeeping on both sides. Each keeper made super saves to keep the game close to the end. The Roadrunners and Premier AC share agreat relationship and it continued throughout the weekend. The 3-0 record earned the 91's a ticket to the finals against the well coached Bethesda Inter team. They are entertaining team to watch and play great team soccer. The match had momentum swings for the full 60 minutes with both team unable to connect on several quality opportunities during the match. Inter connected on 2 to defeat the 91's 2-1. Congrats to Inter and Premier for a a very entertaining match. Premier ended the tourney with 10 goals scored by 8 different players. The scoring was a reflection of the great team effort this weekend.
